Nevada, the Silver State. Known for mining, and somewhat more notoriously for gambling (and other pursuits), Nevada also has a deep history in agriculture. Like much of the southwest, Nevada has a deep history in cattle ranching. A new site from the Library of Congress documents this history with photos, paintings, and movies all available online.
